慌ただしく変容する現代に生まれた、Z世代の芸術家
この便利な時代を生きる私たちは、インターネットを介して容易に人と繋がり、ネット通販によって安価に日用品を手に入れ、AIによって様々な創造物を生み出し、3Dプリンターで実体を持たせることができます。
これら全てが革新的で便利ですが、それにより人との繋がりや個々の物の価値が希薄化していると感じることがあります。
そのような世の中で、私は芸術を通じて人生の本質と物質の価値を再評価し、探求しています。
ひとつひとつの作品に、それぞれの『世界』を創り、それぞれの過去と未来を大切に育む事を使命に。
創作活動は、現代社会の矛盾や不条理に立ち向かいながら、『本当の自由』を探求する旅です。
特に、特定の人物や集団を不当に悪者扱いする社会の動きや、個性を抑え込み一律の規範に従わせる圧力に対しては、戸惑いや怒りと共に疑問を投げかけ、反発をすることで抗いたいと考えています。
しかし、『本当の自由』は抗う時だけでなく、ふとした瞬間に周囲を見渡した時の、日常の隠された美しさにも見出すことができます。
道端に咲く小さな花、晴れた日の青空、手を繋いで歩く親子の背中、散りゆく桜の花びら、夏の草木の匂い、秋雨に部屋で読む本、冬のコンビニで買うあたたかい肉まんなど、いつも通りの当たり前な日常も、創作において大切な要素です。
そして、手に取っていただいた方一人一人の持つ思い出や人生の経験と共に成長し、手に取った後に経過する時間を通じて、その『真の自由』が完成を迎える作品の創作を目指しています。
作品は初めから完全な状態で存在するのではなく、鑑賞者の日常の中で生き、その人の感情や思索の変遷に応じて徐々にその意味や価値が深まります。
新たな視点を持つことで、色彩や輪郭が増していくこのプロセスは、作品がただ存在するだけではなく、所有者の個人的な物語と結びつき、その人生の一部となることを意味します。
作品が視界に映る日々の瞬間、特別な節目、または静かで暗い時間でさえ、それぞれが作品に新しい意味をもたらし、作品の美学的な価値だけでなく、感情的な価値も高めます。
その結果、作品は単なる視覚的喜び以上のもの、すなわち所有者にとっての心の支えやインスピレーションの源泉となるのです。
私が作品を創作し、世界の誰かの手に渡り、再び別の誰かに渡ること。それは、お互いの人生の重要な瞬間や感情を共有し、共に永続的な『世界』を築いていく旅に出発することを意味します。
私は量子力学に関する学習に情熱を注いでおり、その学問の科学的側面から少しスピリチュアルな側面まで幅広く学んでいます。
特に仮想現実説やマルチバース説のような、夢のある(少し非現実的にも感じられる)理論に触れたことで、私たちが生きる世界は自分が選ぶ世界線であり、見たい『世界』を見ることが『真の自由』に繋がるという思想に至りました。
この哲学は、創作活動に深く影響を与えています。
見る者が自らの現実を選択し、その中で何を見出すかによって、その意味や美しさが変化します。
それは、量子力学が示唆する多くの可能性と同様に、観る者の意識や選択によって異なる形をとります。
私はこの複雑で少し非現実的で不安定で未確定な理論をアート作品に落とし込み、それを通じて、観る者に無限の可能性と自己の力を再認識してもらうことを目指しています。
An Artist of Generation Z, Born into a Restless, Rapidly Changing World
In this era of convenience, we live with unprecedented access to connection and creation. Through the internet, we link effortlessly with others. Online shopping allows us to acquire everyday items at low cost. AI generates boundless works of creativity, and 3D printers give them tangible form.
While these innovations are undeniably groundbreaking, they have also led to a dilution of human connection and the intrinsic value of objects.
Amid such a world, I use art as a means to re-evaluate the essence of life and the true worth of material things.
Each of my works is a world unto itself—a unique realm in which past and future are cherished and nurtured.
For me, the act of creation is a journey to seek true freedom, undertaken while confronting the contradictions and absurdities of contemporary society.
In particular, I resist the societal impulses that unjustly vilify individuals or groups, and the pressure to suppress individuality in favor of conformity. I question these forces with confusion, anger, and above all, defiance.
But true freedom does not only arise in moments of resistance. It also emerges in the quiet beauty found within the ordinary.
A tiny flower blooming by the roadside. A clear blue sky on a sunny day. The backs of a parent and child walking hand in hand. Cherry blossoms falling softly. The scent of summer grass. A book read in a rainy day. A warm food bought on a winter’s night.
These everyday scenes—simple, fleeting, yet profound—form the emotional and spiritual foundation of my work.
I aspire to create pieces that grow alongside the memories and lived experiences of each person who encounters them. Only through the passage of time after being held in someone’s hands do these works reach their completion—where true freedom finds form.
A piece of art is never born fully complete. It lives within the viewer’s daily life, and its meaning deepens in tandem with their evolving thoughts and emotions.
With new perspectives, colors and contours come alive. In this way, the artwork transcends its physical form, entwining with the viewer’s personal story and becoming part of their life.
Whether it is glimpsed in passing, commemorates a milestone, or offers solace during quiet and shadowed hours—each moment adds new meaning, enriching both its aesthetic and emotional value.
In this sense, the artwork becomes something greater than a visual pleasure—it becomes a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration.
When my creation is passed from my hands into the hands of another, and then perhaps to another still, it embarks on a journey—a journey in which we share our most intimate moments and emotions, and together, build enduring worlds.
I am also deeply passionate about the study of quantum mechanics, exploring it across both its scientific foundations and its more spiritual dimensions.
Theories such as simulated reality and the multiverse—though fantastical, even dreamlike—have inspired in me the belief that we each inhabit the timeline we choose, and that seeing the world we wish to see is, itself, a form of true freedom.
This philosophy profoundly shapes my creative practice.
In my view, what the viewer discovers within a piece changes depending on the reality they choose to perceive. Like the many possibilities suggested by quantum mechanics, the meaning and beauty of a work are not fixed—they are fluid, determined by the observer’s consciousness and choices.
Through my art, I seek to distill this complex, uncertain, and often intangible theory into a tangible form—one that reminds each viewer of their infinite potential and the power they already possess.
ABOUT Natsuyagi Coffee
日本人の父の元でフィリピンに生まれ、幼少期は恵まれた環境の中で過ごすが、7歳の時に両親のビジネスが破綻し、日本に移住。
小中学校ではいじめを経験し、社会の理不尽さを肌で感じた。
特定の誰かを悪者に仕立て上げ、正義を盾に過剰な私刑が行われる風潮。個性を押し殺し、社会の期待に合わせることを強要される空気。そんな現実に対する違和感と怒りが、心の内側に静かに積もっていった。
しかし、高校時代、美術教員の笹岡慶鳳氏と安原竹夫氏に出会ったことが転機となる。幼少期に好きだった美術への情熱が再び蘇った。キャンバスに向かうことで、抑え込んできた感情や想いを表現する手段を見つけ、自分自身を取り戻していく。
東京藝術大学を目指し、すいどーばた美術学院で美術を学ぶ。
多くの優秀な若手芸術家の才能に直面し、自分は美術だけでは生きていけない現実に向き合った。資本主義社会の中で表現者として自立するためには、経済の知識が必要だと考え、中央大学国際経営学部へ進学。第1期生として2023年に卒業した。
2025年、長年憧れていたピグマリオン人形教室に入門し、人形作家・吉田良氏に師事。
作品への思いには、幼少期の記憶や葛藤、社会への疑問が色濃く反映されている。理不尽な状況に抗いながらも、自らの手で自由を見出す事への探求は作品を造りだす原動力となっている。
本当の自由とは何か。
私たちは何を恐れ、何を求めているのか。
その答えを探し求めながら、今日も制作に打ち込んでいる。
Born in the Philippines to a Japanese father, spent childhood in a privileged environment, but when 7 years old, parents' business collapsed and moved to Japan.
In elementary and junior high school, experienced bullying and learned firsthand how unreasonable society can be.
The tendency to demonize someone in particular and to use justice as a shield for excessive private punishment. The atmosphere in which individuality is stifled and one is forced to conform to society's expectations. Discomfort and anger toward such reality quietly built up inside the heart.
However, a turning point came when Natsuyagi Coffee met art teachers Keiho Sasaoka and Takeo Yasuhara during high school years. The passion for art that had loved in childhood was revived. By facing the canvas, Natsuyagi Coffee found a means to express the emotions and thoughts had suppressed and regained.
While studying at Suidobata Art Academy, aiming for Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, faced with the talents of many talented young artists and the reality that Natsuyagi coffee could not live on art alone. Believing that in order to become independent as an expressive artist in a capitalist society, it is needed knowledge of management, entered the Faculty of International Management at Chuo University. Graduated in 2023 as a first-generation student.
In 2025, entered the DOLL SPACE PYGMALION, which had long admired, and studied under Ball joint doll artist Ryo Yoshida.
The thoughts on works strongly reflect childhood memories, conflicts, and doubts about society. The quest to find freedom with own hands, while resisting unreasonable circumstances, is the driving force behind the works.

What do we fear and what do we seek?
While searching for the answers to these questions, continues to devote to the work today.
